Claud Butler Fixed Wheel

1950's Claud Butler frame.

Reynold's 531 tubeset, Nervex lugset  with Columbus fork ends and rear dropout's.

Powder coated by Shermayne's Morecambe in RAL Pure Orange.


Bottom Bracket, Tange 110mm sealed unit.


Andel 48 tooth Single Speed crankset. 170mm  crank arms.


Saddle from VeloSolo. Polished chrome rails...

Zenith 100mm quill stem from VeloSolo

Original Stronglight Headset repacked with Finish Line teflon grease...smooth as silk. 
looking good...

Bottom Bracket and crankset fitted

  Handlebars in place.. note the outward sweep of the bars..
Rear wheel in the dropouts...

 New KMC 1/8th chain
 VeloOrange Wingnuts fitted in place of track nuts. 20 tooth Andel fixed sprocket.

 Tektro 57mm 'long reach' dual pivot calliper brakes with alloy 'shortie' mudguards.

Original Claud Butler Headbadge attached with epoxy resin.


Completed build ready for use... 
 Slick tyres
Crank Brother Candy pedals.18 Tooth Freewheel fitted. Now set as as a Fixed and Free. To change gear one has to take the rear wheel out and turn around.
